Friendship Station Preschool

Friendship Station is a joint program between the Geneva Park District and the Geneva School District. This inclusion program is staffed by Park District and School District employees and has benefited all of our preschoolers.

Philosophy

The preschool is guided by the philosophy of learning through play. Play is where the child learns how to share, create, cooperate, interact and solve problems. Because each child is individual and unique, emphasis is placed on developing a positive self-concept. In keeping with the guidelines of School District 304 regarding early learning and literacy, this preschool program will provide appropriate activities to enhance literary enrichment of the young child. Support for all children will be provided by loving, knowledgeable staff in a collaborative working partnership with family, Park District and School District.

Age Requirements

3 Year Old Program:

Children must be 3-years old on or before September 1 of that school year to attend our three-year-old program. (Child must be potty trained. Pull-Ups or diapers are not acceptable).

3 year Old Classes: Tuesday/Thursday AM: 9:00 - 11:30 am*
Tuesday/Thursday PM: 12:30 - 3:00 pm*

4 Year Old Program:

Children must be 4-years old on or before September 1 of that school year to attend our four-year-old program. (Child must be potty trained. Pull-Ups or diapers are not acceptable).

4 year Old Classes: Monday/Wednesday/Friday AM: 9:00 - 11:30 am*
Monday/Wednesday/Friday PM: 12:30 - 3:00 pm*

Fall Preschool

Registration for all residents not currently enrolled in preschool begins in February. Please see the winter/spring brochure for date or call (630) 232-4542.

Please drop off a registration form, copy of your child’s birth certificate, and a $50 deposit at the Geneva Community Center. Please note that registration for preschool is on a daily lottery system. There is no on-line registration for this program. Pre-school is held at the Geneva Middle School South Campus.

Cancellations / Late Payments

The Geneva Park District office must receive any cancellations for the Fall Preschool program by 5:00 pm, July 25. An application for refund must be completed as cancellation verification. It is possible to receive a $25 refund if we fill your spot before July 25. Deposits will not be refunded after this date. Payments received after the final payment due date listed will incur a $10.00 charge each week the payment is past due and could result in losing your spot.
