Kids' Zone and Kinderzone - Before and After School Programs
The Kids’ Zone program is a cooperative program between Geneva School District and Geneva Park District available to students grades K-5, attending Fabyan, Harrison, Heartland, Mill Creek, Western and Williamsburg Elementary Schools. This is a recreational based program based at the student’s elementary school that provides care before and after school and includes snack, homework time and a variety of activities from sports, crafts, team building, group games and more.
The KinderZone program is a branch off of the Kids’ Zone program that has been designed specifically for kindergartners and offers care for AM or PM kindergartners. This program is based at Stephen Persinger Recreation Center and does require the students to bring their own lunch.
Kids’ Zone and KinderZone will provide opportunities for all participants to develop a positive self-image through experiences in a fun, friendly, structured and safe environment. Participants will also be able to develop their social skills through interaction and different activities that include problem solving, teamwork and following basic directions. This program will create a stimulating and creative environment, where children will be able to choose their own activities and projects that meet their interests and allow them to learn and grow at their own rate. Our goal is to provide a program that strongly supports the six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. “Character Counts” and benefits of a healthy lifestyle will be incorporated in all aspects of Kids’ Zone.
Registration for upcoming school year is always in our Spring Program Guide.
