Kids Zone

What is Kids Zone?

Kids Zone provides opportunities for all participants to develop a positive self-image through experiences in a fun, friendly, structured and safe environment. Participants will also be able to develop their social skills through interaction and different activities that include problem solving, teamwork and following basic directions. This program will create a stimulating and creative environment, where children will be able to choose their own activities and projects that meet their interests and allow them to learn and grow at their own rate.

Hours/Location

Before School 6:30 -8:00am / After School 2:15 - 6:00pm

The Kids Zone program is available to students in grades K-5th, attending Harrison, Western, Williamsburg, Heartland, Fabyan and Mill Creek Elementary Schools.

Kids' Zone Presents the NEW KinderZone Program - A Recreational Program Designed Especially for Kindergarteners

Kids’ Zone is excited to be able to offer the NEW KinderZone Program this fall. KinderZone is specifically geared toward the kindergarten age child and is held at the Stephen Persinger Recreation Center at 3507 Kaneville Road. This program will offer Kindergarten care during the day whether they are in AM or PM kindergarten. Click here for more information, including fees.

Registration Information for Kids' Zone & KinderZone

Fall 2010-2011 Registration begins March 2nd

  • A completed registration includes first month and registration fees, along with the completed registration packet.
  • Participants must be registered 48 business hours prior to starting any Kids Zone program.
  • Please let us know of any special needs your child may have in order to successfully accommodate them.
  • Non-Refundable registration fee of $35 per child is expected at the time of registration to secure the childs place in the program.

General Holidays

Program will not meet on: Labor Day, Thanksgiving,
Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day, and Memorial Day.

Institute Days & School Holidays

Institute Days and School Holidays are not included in the installment plan, but may be registered for separately.

Join us for a Day Off Trip! We will start the day at the community center doing activities and games. Then we will head out for the days trip, whether it is bowling at Funway or Laser tag at Cyberspace, it’s sure to be a fun filled day. Please provide your child with a sack lunch and snacks for the day. After the trip, it is back to the community center for more games and activities.

Participants may bring spending money, if they wish. Please provide them with no more than $10. Each child will be responsible for keeping track of his/her own spending money.
